When it's time to get reprints, here's a few tips and suggestions.
The prints in your album were done at WalMart (Bangor) from the disk given to you. The photo numbers you will need for reprints are located on the back of each photo following the DSC____.
As noted on the sheet given to you, I can "retouch" your photos to remove blemishes, shine, etc. for $5 per photo (5 photos maximum).
For Old Town students: I can submit your photo to the Yearbook staff for you. Please contact me by October 4th with your selection.
For prints and enlargements... Here are some comparison prices.
Store | 4x6 | 5x7 | 8x10 | Wallets |
Sams Club | .17 | .38 | 1.46 for 8x10 or 8x12 | .17 for two |
WalMart | .19 | 1.47 | 2.84 | .58 for two |
| Bangor Photo (link to site) | .49 | 2.99 | 8.95 for 8x10 or 8x12 | Call them for price |
You may already use one of these stores for your photo printing. They all offer quality prints. Personally, I prefer an 8x12 print vs. 8x10. (An 8x10 will crop/cut quite a bit off from the photo top and bottom. An 8x12 will give you almost all of the print) Both Sam's Club and Bangor Photo provide this size. Bangor Photo also has in stock 8x12 opening photo mats which can be used in 11x14 frames and makes for a nice presentation. AC Moore also has mats in many styles, colors and sizes available.
If you are looking for black (and other colors) cardboard photo holders for 4x6 and 5x7's, you can find some at Bangor Photo, Union Street. They are roughly $1-$3 depending on size and color.
TIPS FOR PRINTING WALLETS: Most wallets will come 2 or 4 to a sheet. Cut them apart. For rounded corners, simply use a photo trimmer/rounder that can be found in the scrapbooking section of any craft store (WalMart/Joann's/AC Moore). They cost around $5. It's a small, paper punch that simply trims just the corners. Takes just a few seconds!
